dorkilysoullessSupernatural 14x09 "The Spear" Season 14 Episode 9 Sneak Peek (Mid-Season Finale) - THE BEST LAID PLANS – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) enlist the help of their pal Garth (guest star DJ Qualls) to gain inside information on what Michael may be planning. The brothers split up to each go after weapons that can aid in their fight against the Archangel, but this may be a fight our heroes cannot win. The episode was directed by Amyn Kaderali and written by Robert Berens (#1409). Original Airdate 12/13/2018.

Speaking of Cas and "oh no" in the same sentence, you know he's having a moment here where he's like, "Well, here we go, doing a dangerous thing again because we have to emotionally," and having almost-nostalgia for the simplicity of pre-Apocalypse angelhood. Like, he doesn't actually want it, but human beings? We're disasters.
